The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and facilities within the plant. This role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure workplace safety.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance planning.
- Analyze recurring failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Assist in upgrading or modifying equipment to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and manage the stock of spare parts to ensure availability when needed.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, downtime, and recommended improvements.
- Train maintenance technicians and junior staff on best maintenance practices.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in industrial maintenance.
- Any other task required by the direct manager.
Skill sets and Qualifications we require:
- Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, condition-based maintenance, and TPM.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Leadership, team management, and Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and drive digital transformation in maintenance operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the aluminum extrusion industry.
- Lean Manufacturing & TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
